  • American Society of Journalists and Authors - Writer Group
    ASJA helps professional freelance writers advance their writing careers. Members share candid data on rates , contracts , editors and more. Non-members benefit from our Contracts Watch newsletter, annual writers conference and other services.

  • Authors Guild
    The Guild has worked on behalf of published authors to lobby for free speech, copyrights and other issues of concern to authors and bring authors the latest news in the publishing industry via the Guild Bulletin.

  • Canadian Authors Association Canada Flag
    The Canadian Authors Association is Canada's national writing organization. Founded in 1921, the CAA has played a key role in the support and development of the Canadian writing community. It has charitable status as a registered National Arts Service Organization.

  • Mystery Writers of America
    The MWA is the premier organization for mystery writers and other professionals in the mystery field.  MWA watches developments in legislation and tax law, sponsors symposia and mystery conferences, presents the Edgar SM Awards, and provides information for mystery writers. Membership in MWA is open to published authors, editors, screenwriters, and other professionals in the field.

    The NFSPS is a non-profit organization, exclusively educational and literary. Its purpose is to recognize the importance of poetry with respect to national cultural heritage. It is dedicated solely to the furtherance of poetry on the national level and serves to unite poets in the bonds of fellowship and understanding.

  • Romance Writers of America

  • Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators
